Apricot Almond Squares
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix with pudding
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • ½ c finely chopped almonds
  • 12 oz jar apricot preserves or any kind you choose
  • 8 oz pkg. cream cheese at room temp
  • ¼ C. sugar
  • 2 T. all-purpose flour
  • ½ t almond extract
  • 1 egg
9x13” pan at 350
1st 3 ingredients together
Blend on low speed for 1-1/2 min
Mix should be crumbly
Reserve 1 C for topping
Press remainder in pan for crust
Put preserves over
Cream cheese, sugar, flour, almond extract, egg, mix tog for 2 min
Spread over mix in pan
Top with reserved cake mix
Bake 30-35 min
MUST COOL FOR AT LEAST ½ HOUR
